African Diaspora Fund for Development (ADFD) is the brainchild of African migrant organisations in the Netherlands. ADFD is an African European Diaspora platform, an umbrella that consists of migrants/ Diaspora organisations which, initiate development in Africa with a focus on socio economic basic human rights and development projects.
ADFD envisions harnessing the knowledge and financial resources (including $40 billion annually in remittances) of the African Diaspora, mostly living in the West, in the interest of social and economic development in Africa.
